A single folded Christmas card, 97x247mm. "Virgin and Child" illustration to cover. Inscribed in ink by Valerie Eliot "To Janet & love from Valerie", and further inscribed "and Tom" by T.S. Eliot. Near fine condition, very minor creasing to fold.
A personal Christmas card sent by the Eliots to Janet Roberts (1905-1999), nee Janet Adam Smith, writer, editor and literary journalist, who worked with Eliot at The Criterion, the quarterly he founded and edited throughout his life.
