A double folded Christmas card with an ivory tie. 190x137mm. Onlaid "The Coronation of the Virgin" illustration to the cover. Inscribed in ink by Valerie Eliot "with love from Valerie" and further inscribed "and Tom" by T.S. Eliot. Very good condition, spots of foxing to the cover.
A personal Christmas card sent by the Eliots to Janet Roberts (1905-1999), nee Janet Adam Smith, writer, editor and literary journalist, who worked with Eliot at The Criterion, the quarterly he founded and edited throughout his life.
