The first Bradbury & Evans edition (eleventh edition in total). 12mo. Bound in later red morocco with stamped motifs in the corner of gilt borders, and gilt lettering to the spine. Binder's stamp A.L.D., 1915 to the rear board. Red and blue title page dated 1846. One page of adverts at the rear. Marbled end papers and all edges gilt. Four hand coloured plates by John Leech, with four woodcuts in the text. A very good copy indeed, with slight fading and wear to the spine.
