First edition, deluxe issue in publisher's full green soft leather with gilt vignette of Christopher Robin and his fishing rod on the upper cover and an elaborately decorated spine. All edges gilt and the silk page marker is present. The pictorial endpapers show characters from the verses and there are many line drawings throughout by E.H. Shepard. A near fine copy with a small rub to both the head and tail of the spine and a brief neat gift inscription on the half title page.
Milne's second book of children's verse, featuring Winnie the Pooh and many other equally charming characters. Verses include: King John's Christmas, Us Two, Sneezles.
