Lord Alfred Douglas, "Bosie" has perhaps become best known for his love affair with Oscar Wilde. This reputation has overshadowed his poetry, which was highly regarded by writers such as Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch; John Betjeman, Frank Harris, who considered him a fine sonneteer, and George Bernard Shaw. This volume was sent to Bosie's friend Nancy Mitford on the occasion of her wedding.
