Admiralty Paper

CONRAD, Joseph

CONRAD, Joseph Admiralty Paper

Privately printed for Jerome Kern, 1925.

Sole edition. Number 52 of 93 copies. Original blue oversized, stitched wrappers, title printed in black. A very good copy with a split to the top of the spine and a little wear to the wrappers.

The government asked many well-known authors, including Conrad, to write about the war effort. Conrad's experiences with the Royal Naval Reserve inspired "The Unlighted Coast" - originally known as the "Admiralty Paper", published posthumously in The Times 18th August 1925 and then this separately published edition, by Jerome Kern at Christmas 1925.
