Gift edition of these classic tales. 4to. Red cloth with gilt lettering and decoration in the original dustwrapper with colour plate laid onto the front panel. Sixteen tipped in colour plates and lots of black and white drawings by William Heath Robinson. A near fine, very bright copy, top edge slightly dusty and occasional spots of foxing, in a very good dustwrapper, with a darkened patch to the upper cover and light wear to the head of the spine.
Includes many of Hans Andersen's most popular fairy tales, such as: The Little Mermaid; The Snow Queen; The Emperor's New Clothes; The Ugly Duckling and many more. This edition published by Boots the Chemist was a deluxe gift book aimed at the Christmas market.
