ROBINSON, William Heath

ROBINSON, William Heath The Wireless Adventures of Mr Pimple

Philips' Glowlamp Works, 1924.

Sole edition. 8vo. Original pictorial paper wrappers. Six full page cartoon style drawings by William Heath Robinson. A very good copy indeed, with institutional ink stamps to the upper cover and title page. Staples rusted with the central leaf loose.

A scarce advertising pamphlet for Philips' wireless receiving valves, illustrated by Heath Robinson.
The comic story follows Mr Pimple attempting to make his wireless work by using various Heath Robinson style machinations. The resolution comes when a friend brings him a gift of the Philip's valve which remedies all his troubles.
Uncommon, not noted by Beare.

PROVENANCE: Noyes Bros, Sydney (an Australian engineering company), stamp to title page; Port Kembla Garage, stamp to upper cover.
