First edition, deluxe issue. 12mo. Brown moiré cloth with gilt stamped decoration and colour onlay to the upper cover. All edges gilt. Pictorial endpapers. Colour frontis and 26 colour plates by the author. A very good copy indeed, corners a little bumped, slight looseness between sections at page 9 and one or two minor creases. A bright, attractive copy.
One of a small number of deluxe format first editions, originally sold at 1/6 rather than the 1/- price of the trade editions.
