Comprehensively illustrated with hundreds of photographs, plans and maps of their designs. A very good set, light soiling to boards and some wear to the spine ends and edges. Bookplate of the City of Oxford School of Arts and Crafts to volume one, and the ownership inscription of the architect S. N. Bertram to each first blank.
An important and comprehensive survey of the work of Robert and James Adam. It offers biographical details, followed by surveys of their early and later domestic work, and their work in London and Scotland. The appendices are of particular value to scholars.
