First (sole) edition. 4to. Deluxe issue, being one of 300 copies signed by the publishers. Publisher's white buckram, lettered gilt, decorated in brown and orange. Top edge gilt. Sixty-seven colour illustrations, under captioned tissue guards, and one woodcut by Cruikshank. A very good copy, spine rather browned.
The plates are the illustrations for Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, The Miser's Daughter by William Harrison Ainsworth, and The History of the Irish Rebellion by W.H. Maxwell and the text consists of extracts from the three books.
