A Message to the Fish

In Horizon, Vol. III, No. 15

[CONNOLLY, Cyril (ed.)] / MACNEICE, Louis / ELIOT, T.S. / et al

A Message to the Fish - ,

Horizon. 1941.

Original paper wrappers, lettered in green. A good copy of an ephemeral item, spine worn and tanned.

Contains Eliot's response to the mean spirited Joyce obituary in The Times, January 14 1941 - both his original letter, which The Times rejected, and a further letter in which he expresses his views rather more forcefully. In addition, there is the first printing of the war time poem Refugees by Louis Macneice.
