First edition. 4to. Bound in handsome half brown morocco with Arts and Crafts style gilt embossed decoration and marbled boards. Twelve colour plates by Wilfrid Ball, Sydney Jones and John Fullwood, as well as line drawings throughout the text. A near fine copy, a little faded to the spine.
Colour plates include Horley, Oxfordshire Penistone, Yorkshire. Contents cover crafts such as plasterwork, flintwork, timber and stone, thatching and metalwork. Drawings take in examples from around the country, many of which are in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
