First edition. 12mo. Blue cloth, decorated with black bands and a gilt vignette of a rowing eight on the upper cover, lettered in gilt on the spine. Three fold out maps, plus two other maps. A very good copy, some rubbing to the spine ends and corners.
William Fisher Macmichael rowed for the Cambridge Light Blues in 1868 and again in 1869. Became president of the Cambridge Union in 1872.
