Full white vellum with striking decoration in red and gold to upper cover and spine. Top edge gilt and others untrimmed, lacks the silk ties. Thirty mounted colour plates under captioned tissue guards, all from wonderfully evocative watercolours and fifty black and white drawings to accompany the poetry. A stunning book which combines marvellous poetry with superb book production, one of the truly magnificent gift books. This copy is in near fine condition, the vellum is bright, with just a hint of dustiness. Protected by the original slipcase.
