Marbled endpapers and all edges marbled. Fifteen plates of original mounted photographs by Francis Frith. Numerous woodcuts in the text. A very good copy, morocco a little scuffed.
First published in 1859, the addition of the photographs make this the scarcest and most desirable edition of this work.
