First edition. Original blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine in printed dustwrapper. Author's contemporary signature with date "16.vi. 1948" to front endpaper. A very good copy which has a little rubbing to the lettering on the spine, in a very good (supplied) dustwrapper which has small patches of neat restoration and a couple of closed tears
The author's third book and second and last novel, signed copies of which are uncommon.
