Seventy five colour illustrations with captioned tissue guards, and a fold-out map at the rear, some spotting to the map. A very good copy indeed.

As a keen angler the author is well acquainted with the areas described in the book. Chapters cover the rivers Severn, Wye, Two Avons, Devon rivers, Chalk Streams (including the Thames), Border rivers, Rivers of the South East, the Yorkshire Dales and an East Anglian River (The Ouse).
