This is one of the most sought after of Clarke's works. Containing such popular fairy tales as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty, its illustrations have a magical quality. Clarke's style, very reminiscent of Nielsen, is seen at its best, with the combination of colour and black and white. There are no UK reprints of this title nor was a limited edition printed.
PROVENANCE: Adams T. Rice (bookplate to front endaper, an American theatre producer, director, and scenic designer, with an extenisve book collection, and whose archive of theatrical documents are housed at George Mason University).
