First edition. 8vo. Tan cloth with orange lettering, in original pictorial dustwrapper. Pictorial endpapers, colour frontis and lots of black and white illustrations by the author. A near fine copy, with slight fading to the spine, in a very good dustwrapper, with minor wear to the corners and rear joint, and some surface abrasion to the spine.
The 6th book in the Dolittle series, that has become a beloved title of children's literature, that follows a doctor who can speak to animals on his adventures.
