First edition. Edition de Luxe, being number 20 of 250 copies, signed by the artist. 4to. White vellum with gilt lettering and decorations. Printed on hand made paper. Top edge gilt. Pictorial endpapers. Twenty six tipped in colour plates under captioned tissue guards. A very good copy indeed, vellum bright and clean, plates crisp and clear, one lower margin with a v shaped tear, no text is affected.
The book is split into two sections; the first focuses on the city of Venice and its environs whilst the latter features the hill towns of Tuscany, including Siena and San Gimignano.
