Grubb in Gratitude. 1922".Loosely inserted are three ALS by Guedella, the first two written shortly after submitting the book to Putnam's, the final one relating to his payment for the work.Also laid in is an ALS by Hilaire Belloc to Grubb, in which he declines to review a book by Guedalla as "I never could do criticism in appreciation, except, accidentally, of books I had often read and re-read". One black and white frontispiece under a tissue guard, and eleven further black and white illustrations. A near fine copy.
G. H. Grubb was the eminent executive director of G. P. Putnam's in London, Guedalla's publisher.
