Twenty-one volumes, all first editions. 8vo. Original red cloth, lettered in gilt to the spine, all in the dustwrappers. Top edge red. Black and white illustrations throughout. A near fine set, with very occasional wear to the dustwrappers and hints of fading to the spines of a couple volumes.

An excellent set comprising the definitive eight volume biography of Churchill and thirteen companion volumes of previously unpublished material. First two volumes were written by Churchill's son Randolph and the life was completed by Martin Gilbert following Randolph S. Churchill's sudden death in 1968.
