Full scarlet morocco with gilt and black inlays and gilt tooling. All edges gilt. Paint splash endpapers. Housed in original fleece-lined clamshell box. Colour photographs throughout. A very good copy indeed, with some spotting to the upper board and gilt to spine faded, in a near fine box with some rubbing to corners.
The book brings together outstanding examples of the artistic achievements of Cyprus in the field of Byzantine icon-painting.
