Thirty six issues (comprising nos. 84-119) of All The Year Round, which first seriealised Great Expectations. Bound in contemporary half calf over marbled boards, recently respined and recornered to style retaining original title label. A very good copy, boards a little worn and some browning to preliminary leaves.
Great Expectations as it first appeared in print, serialised in Dickens' own journal, All The Year Round, between 1 December 1860 and 3 August 1861, to aid flagging sales. It was then issued in book form on 6 July.
