Pamphlet printed paper wrappers, eight pages in total (including covers), folded and stapled. Inscribed by the author on the rear cover, "With all good wishes from / Dorothy L. Sayers". Six colour lino-cuts by Norah Lambourne and verses by Sayers. A very good copy indeed of an ephemeral item.
A charming Christmas pamphlet, used by Sayers for distribution to friends. Sayers was very fond of cats and designed several of her own Christmas Cards around them. In 1953 she wrote to Hamish Hamilton to ask if they would publish her booklet, but they replied, "Mr. Hamilton does not feel we have the organisation to market your charming CAT'S CHRISTMAS CAROL."
