First edition. Original blue cloth with silver titles in pictorial dustwrapper. Map on front end paper, frontispiece and line drawings in the text by Pauline Baynes. A fine copy, with a touch of spotting to the top edge, in a very near fine dustwrapper which is price-clipped and just shows a shallow nick at the head of the spine, but is very crisp and clean. An exceptional copy.
The scarcest of the seven Chronicles of Narnia, especially so in such nice condition.
