Eleven original drawings in story board form on two boards. Ink, guache and watercolour on paper. Annotated below with printers notes and sizes. Paper size, 54 x 38cm, eight paintings 10 x12cm and the top images 9 x 26cm. Loosely laid over is the publishers acetate with printed story captions. In very good condition, showing the story of Jess meeting a hedgehog.
This is original artwork by the artist Joan Hickson, who was responsible for transforming the Postman Pat TV character into a drawn character suitable for use in children's books. She first became involved with Postman Pat in 1982 when she worked on the comic strip featuring him in the BBC children's comic Buttons. From 1985 she illustrated the first books written by John Cunliffe.
