Small stiff card with paste on illustration of Mrs Rabbit feeding camomile tea to Peter Rabbit, as his sisters look on. 14.5 x 10.5cm. The word Greetings printed below the image in grey. In excellent condition, clean and bright. To the rear is a contemporary Christmas gift inscription.
A rare example of a charity card sold "By request of Mrs. Stanley Baldwin and "Peter Rabbit's Committee" (I.C.A.A.) the publishers will devote the profits from the sale of this picture (after the original drawing by Beatrix Potter) to the Invalid Children's Aid Association." The illustration is similar to the frontispiece of Peter Rabbit, but in this version Peter's is more visible peeping out from under the covers and figures of his two sisters have been added to his bedside.
