First edition with colour illustrations by Rackham. Quarto. Red cloth with gilt lettering and design to upper cover and spine, top edge red. Pictorial endpapers with design in red and forty mounted colour plates with captioned tissue guards, one tissue a little rumpled to the fore edge, plates all fine. In addition to the colour plates there are many black and white drawings both full page and in the text. A very good copy indeed. Spine a little wavy, but unfaded and uncommonly bright.
Includes classic fairy tales such as Hansel and Grethel, Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel.
