Fifty-two black and white plates, with forty-four maps and charts in the text. A handsome set in near fine condition. Crisp and clean, with a little discolouration to the boards and some foxing to the page edges.

This set of works takes its name from the country house (Chartwell) where much of it was written. A handsome set, much enhanced by the maps, charts and photographs.
