Subscribers' edition, numbered 8. Large 8vo. Original brown cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine. Top edge gilt. Two letters from Sir Eugen Millington-Drake to E.L. ('Jelly') Churchill loosely laid in. E.L. Churchill's copy with his name to the title page and annotations by him throughout. Four black and white illustrations from photographs and fold out maps at the rear, including one of Henley Regatta course. A very good copy, fraying to the rear hinge.
'Jelly' Churchill was an Eton house master and rowing coach. Millington-Drake rowed for Eton and Oxford and went on to become a diplomat of note.
