First edition. 8vo. Navy blue cloth, variant binding, lettered in gilt on the upper cover and with an advertisement stamped in black on the rear cover. Two fold out maps and numerous photographic illustrations. A very good copy, ink name crossed out on the front pastedown, hinges tender and maps affected by old tape marks
The first in a series of guide books to the Thames produces by Salter's Steamers, a company which still operates from Folly Bridge in Oxford. It incorporates descriptions, distances and guidance for visitors to the Thames, beginning at the source of the river.
