Heaney's Christmas card for 1999, printed in an unspecified number. Single folded sheet of grey card, illustrated on front printed in black. Presentation copy, inscribed to the manuscript collector and dealer Roy Davids, "To Roy, with thanks for lamplight too. Seamus. Christmas 1999," together with a pencil sketch by Heaney of a lamp. Printed inside the card are lines 1570-72 from his translation of Beowulf, "A light appeared and the place brightened the way the sky does when heaven's candle is shining clearly." An original sketch by Heaney of a lamp. An excellent copy.
