Full page illustrations in line and in two tone by Helene Carter, vignettes by Ransome. A near fine copy, corners lightly bumped, in a very good dustwrapper which has some restoration, particularly to the spine ends, where chips have been replaced, and repairs to a number of tears and minor edge wear.
The fifth title in the Swallows and Amazons series. The Kelsalls were friends and neighbours of the Ransomes in the Lake District.
