First illustrated edition. 4to. Quarter parchment over boards, gilt titles on the spine and gilt water lily vignette on the upper cover. Top edge gilt. Publisher's printed slip laid in. Seven full page wood engravings, under captioned tissue guards, by Eugene Dete and Paul Thiriat. A very good copy, rather dusty externally. Bookplate on the front pastedown.
This book was due to be published in 1908, as per the title page, but the ill health of the illustrator caused publication to be postponed until 1910.
