First edition. 4to. Cloth backed paper covered boards illustrated in colour by Attwell. This is a chunky board book with rounded corners. Both upper cover and lower cover have full page illustrations in colour. Colour frontis and 13 colour plates. In addition the text has line drawings printed in red and black. A very good copy, the upper cover has some scuffing to the edges of the colour onlay and spine is rather faded. An appealing books of nursery rhymes.
Tuck's advertising promoted this book as "a new Attwell book with new pictures". Uncommon.
