First edition. 8vo. Presentation binding of half red crushed morocco by Spottiswoode. Raised bands and gilt titles to the spine and marbled endpapers. Top edge gilt. Twenty colour plates of Eton and the College. A handsome copy.
PROVENANCE: Inscribed on the initial blank page, "J.F.B. Combe from F.W. Dodds, Eton July 1913". Dodds was master at Eton and John Frederick Boyce Combe became a much decorated British Army Officer.
