First edition illustrated by Pogany. Large 4to. The original green cloth is decorated with embossed gilt lettering and decorations are in gilt, brown and green. Top edge gilt. This copy signed by the artist on the half title. From endpaper to endpaper each page is elaborately decorated in Pogany's distinctive style. The beautiful calligraphic text is set within decorative borders, there are twenty mounted colour plates (all bright, though one has a corner crease), line drawings and two tone plates. A near fine example of this wonderful production.
