Smaller format book, which describes itself as "Revised and enlarged" edition. Small 8vo. Blue cloth lettered in gilt and ruled in black on the upper cover. Ten pages of black and white illustrations for ice moulds at the rear. A near fine copy, clean and bright.
Mrs Agnes Bertha Marshall (1855-1905) was a culinary entrepreneur who was dubbed the "Queen of Ices" for her recipes for ice cream and other frozen deserts, and is generally credited with inventing the first portable, edible ice cream cones (which she called "cornets").
