(To Say Nothing of the Dog)
SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR
Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog)
Arrowsmith, 1889.
Early printing in the same format as the original but with '11 Quay Street' as the publisher's address on the title page. Original Thames blue cloth with gilt lettering on spine and black lettering and design on upper cover. Inscribed by the author on the title page, "Yours sincerely / Jerome K Jerome / June 1910". Illustrations in black and white by A. Fredericks. A very good copy with a little wear to the spine ends and some bubbling to the upper cover.
This edition is what it traditionally (but mistakenly) referred to the first edition, second issue, as it is dated 1889 at the base of the title page and the only difference between it and the first printing is the publisher's address and the adverts on the pastedown. However these adverts offer titles published later.
Very rare in an inscribed state, this is the only copy we have encountered.
