Finely rebound in full scarlet crushed morocco by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, double ruled gilt and floral inner borders to the upper covers, five raised bands to the spine decorated in gilt, with gilt titles and floral motifs to the spine compartments, all edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Six colour plates including the frontispiece and 185 black and white plates illustrating the collections described. A near fine copy with some fading to the spine.
