First edition with Rackham illustrations. Large 4to. Deluxe issue, limited to 520 copies, of which this is number 194. Signed by Rackham. Original quarter vellum with parchment covered boards and gilt vignette and titles to spine and upper cover. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Twenty-one tipped in colour plates, one of which does not appear in the trade edition, and occasional line drawings. A very good copy indeed, with a little mottling to the boards. Ownership inscription in ink to front free endpaper, small pen scribble to front pastedown. Internally very fresh and bright with several pages unopened.
Shakespeare's characters are beautifully represented by Rackham, in striking and lively illustrations.
