First edition. Original blue cloth lettered in red. Armorial bookplate of Robert George Dalrymple Laffan to the front pastedown. A near fine copy, which is slightly cocked, but is bright and clean.
White's rare first novel which, although a collaboration, was written mainly by White (he apparently contributed the first four chapters, part of chapter five, chapters twelve, thirteen and part of fourteen, and chapters eighteen to twenty-two).
