First edition. 8vo. Original yellow cloth elaborately decorated in gilt. All edges gilt. Profusely illustrated in black and white by H.J. Ford. A near fine copy with very minor wear to the spine ends and occasional foxing, but virtually no toning to the spine. Neat ownership inscription to verso of the front endpaper. Seldom found in such nice condition.
The fourth of Lang's coloured fairy books. Another lovely compilation of fairy tales from around the world, including well known tales such as "The Emperor's New Clothes," "The Tinder Box" and "Thumbelina" alongside lesser known stories.
