The Strand Magazine is inextricably linked with the Sherlock Holmes stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
This run of the first ten volumes of The Strand, covering its first five years, includes all of the Sherlock Holmes stories that were collected in The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes (1892) and The Memoirs Of Sherlock Holmes (1893).
The magazine was issued monthly and subscribers could have the issues bound up every six months in what became the iconic blue bindings of The Strand.
