First UK edition. 8vo. Laminated pictorial boards, illustrated in colour. Issued without dustwrapper. Illustrated in black and white by Donald Chaffin. A near fine copy, clean with bright lettering to the spine. Light tape ghosting to endpapers, with some light spotting to preliminaries.
The US edition was published earlier the same year. Fantastic Mr Fox formed the basis for Wes Anderson's 2009 film of the same name and has been successfully adapted into both a stage play and an opera.
