C.S. Lewis's second book was published, like his first, under the pseudonym comprising his Christian name and his mother's maiden name. An epic narrative poem which he began writing in his first year at Oxford, before breaking off for the War. It is clearly influenced by Spencer and Milton, but also by Norse mythology.
