First edition, second issue. 4to. Blue cloth with gilt titles and vignettes. Pictorial endpapers show a knight on his charger drawn in silhouette. The sixteen colour plates are mounted under plain tissue guards (one tissue with a small nick) and there are numerous black and white drawings in the text. A near fine, bright copy, a little spotting to page edges.
