First edition. Oblong 16mo. Original paper wrappers lettered in black and with a photographic illustration to the upper cover. Sixteen black and white photographic illustrations and two fold out maps. A very good copy of an ephemeral item.

Joseph Mears was one of the main operators of passenger launches on the Thames from 1907 to 1940, and published these guides to advertise the company's services. The proprietor, Joseph Mears, is perhaps best known as the founder of Chelsea Football Club.
